Every year, our planet is burdened with tons of waste from decommissioned vehicles.
The idea began as an effort to reduce the waste produced annually from scrapped cars in order to protect our planet.
Using locks, seat belts, and airbags from scrapped vehicles, Airpaq produces backpacks and accessories.
In this way, we pave the way for a change towards a more creative and careful use of our planet’s precious and scarce resources.
In Germany alone, approximately 500,000 tons of automotive waste end up as trash each year¹, including unused, high-quality resources no longer utilized by the car industry.

A product is only sustainable if made from resource-saving materials, produced fairly and socially, and built to last.
We combine sustainable recycled materials with aesthetic design and useful functions. Our products are made in the EU under fair and sustainable working conditions.
We’re passionate about creating new uses for items that would otherwise be considered trash.
We’re driven by two things:
1. The belief that sustainable actions like recycling are vital for our planet.
2. A fascination with the uniqueness and charm of recycled products.
Our goal is to create products that are environmentally, ethically, and aesthetically convincing.
Recyclable materials from scrapped cars become waste.
We collect seat belts and buckles.
We gather discarded airbags from the car industry.
Products are fairly and sustainably produced in the EU.
